actively seeking a running [or nearly so] XS or TX 500

engine mechanical condition is paramount
[running model preferred, tho´ willing to consider a still one]

straight frame is 2nd major concern
[tweaked fork might be acceptable]

after that - hey, it´s a 35-yr old bike, so corrosion,
dead battery, wear & tear, etc. are expected - cosmetics
are NOT an issue, since this Yamaha twin is being re-equiped
as a period-correct ´special´ build, a long-considered \
