A good friend is willing to sell me a 73 or 74 (he can´t recall and is looking for the title!) Yamaha TX500. It has under 6K on the odometer, has not been started since 1984 and is all original, except for handlebars which he added in 1975. It has been stored in a heated basement all this time and looks to be in great shape (some flaking on one muffler and a very tiny dent in the tank).
Three questions: What would be a good price, what should I be on the look-out for and where can I get ongoing technical advice and parts? My goal would be to restore the bike. Please respond to the e-mail address above.
Thanks,

Steve
