My principal transportation in college was a new ´73 Yamaha TX500. It´s long gone, but I´ll never forget the way that otherwise-nice bike constantly wept oil from the cylinder head gasket. Was this a common problem? Aside from the fact that the electric start was a joke unless the engine was already warm, I really liked that bike.
