Hi, I recently put heated grips on my sherpa. I used the lowest priced units from Aerostich, a relay trigger from dual sport touring.com, and a small relay from AutoZone. Wired directly to Battery and fused. They work very well, but my finger tips still get cold. I have bar guards (Acerbis), which I added a little bit of wind protection, cut from plastic bottles. Also I use a Windshield year round. Bug protection in the summer, as well as rain, year round. These Warmers have 2 settings, Hi/Lo. I use the Hi settings, to start and then will switch to Lo as they warm up. I still keep my heavy duty gloves handy, just in case. Good luck and I hope this helps. glb
