KL250 heated grips???

I bought my son a 2001 KL250 to learn to ride. It is a great bike and we have really enjoyed it! Is there enough power in the charging system to install grip heaters? I am considering the Dual Star kit that draws 36 watts. Thanks for any suggestions.
