I now own a duke 748bp but my first bike was a RGV250M, what a machine!!! Get the rev needle above 8250rpm and hang on for dear life. Back then I didnt know a lot about bikes (and still dont) but this thing opend my eyes. The RGV250 is said to be unreliable, and I disagree. Ive done many miles on road and dare I say motorway (flipping from 6th to 5th to keep in the powerband) as long as you use top quality 2T and keep up on the piston rings and cylinders the engine should remain trouble free. The handling is another matter, ive had many a tank slapper, even over a cats eye, a steering damper wouldnt go amiss. Overall the scariest, most intimidating bike i have ever ridden. And i love it!!!
