Just got my yellow Daytona 650 yesterday morning. Traded in my 2001 Bonneville for it. I also own a Ducati S4R (my second) and a Victory Vegas. But, I´ve owned and raced a Ducati 916, Yamaha R-1, Ducati 900 SS/CR, Triumph 595, among others and I´ve got to say, I love this little yellow rocket. Although I haven´t even gotten into the "maelstrom of torque" (got it keep it under 6K rpm), there are plenty of tight, twisty backroads around here that it just sucks up like it´s on rails and I´ve got a set of Dunlop D208 GPs on order (and a Jardine exhaust) to accentuate it´s abilities. I bought it for the handling, the brakes, the comfort and the price, plus it had to be a Triumph. The Thruxton was selling for the same price and, while it was cute, it had no go and no stop. The Daytona does all that and more. Put me in the happy camper column.
