The only disappointment riding my Thruxton was the sound coming from the silencers, or better: the lack of a proper sound out of the original silencers. I´ve replaced them by the non-street legal versions offered by Triumph, and replaced the jets by bigger ones as well (I don´t remember the size). In addition, I´ve blocked the flexible hoses which are connected to the chromed pipes (you´ll find next to the spark plugs). I´ve slid a short nickel plated M8 inbus bolt into each hose. Engine or carburator adjustments were not necessary for a smooth running engine with a trully great sound!
Good luck, Ronald Bijnevelt, The Netherlands.
