It may not be the plug. I have a 2005 with 400 miles on it. The bike wouldn´t start after sitting a while and flood out. These bikes seem to flood very easily. The dealer that I purchased it from put a plastic shut off valve (petcock) where the gas line meets the engine. I shut the valve off when I am going to leave it parked for more than 10 minutes. It did the trick as long as you remember to shut it off when you park and TURN IT BACK ON when you start off(the bike will stall after a quarter mile or so cuz it has no gas!!) Really isn´t inconvenient. This is an engineering flaw with the gravity fed gas line.
