I am pondering a purchase, and the Caponord has caught my eye. I do a lot of all weather all terrain kms about 35000 a year. I have ridden a BMW R1200GS for the majority of the afore mentioned and have found them to be great bikes WHEN THEY ARE RUNNING! The electrics however are awful and have let my collegue and I down on 4 consecutive occasions. I know the bike press have nothing bad to say about them, but we have found fault mainly with the Italian electronics and road side patch ups just about impossible due to over engineering(not the sole domain of BMW I hasten to add). I would like to hear from anyone who owns a Caponord/Rally Raid. The bike seems to fulfil a number of my requirements but, whats it like to live with? I´d be grateful for any feedback Kind regards to all Simon King |
