I´ve enjoyed how very well engineered the Royal Star is over other bikes like the H-D Road Kill. Imagine an engine designed "balanced" so it doesn´t vibrate its own bearings to dust. Hydraulic clutch control, spring loaded floorboards and brake pedal, water cooled with a radiator fan, rubber mounted independant end weighted handle bars and enough torque to get the bike moving in 2nd and even 3rd gears make this a made to order ride. This heavy weight machine riding on a pneumatic adjustable suspension provides a comfortable, tireless trip around town or across state. I do wonder why however they use four carburators instead of fuel injection. And why do the carbs need to be electronically heated? Wouldn´t they want cooler, denser air for performance? During the summer months over the first 1000 miles I documented a solid 40 MPG average. When I put the detatchable windshield in place, I averaged 30 MPG on the same road conditions and speeds. I would like to hear anyone elses opinion or experiences with the Royal Star. Eddie
