Montauk - ticking away |

Just purchased a second hand (3000km) Montauk & rode it 1800km in 2 days to get it home ..... Loved it .... Best bike I have ever ridden/owned. However, it is my first BMW and I was a little put off by a ticking noise that the engine makes particularly when dropping down through the gears .... it follows the revs & sounds very much to me like tappets, but then again, I know virtually nothing about motors and even less about BMW motors .... Just picked it up from getting a check-up from the local dealer who says it is squeaky clean and no problems and the noise is a typical BMW sound .... Is it ???? |
