Hi Guys:

I have been looking at big single supermotos for a couple of years and I suspect that I will finally be ready to purchase in early 2006. I´m an old guy (45) and I plan to use the bike on coastal 101 & for road trips across eastern OR with my brothers (KLR 650 & DRZ400). At this point it looks as if I will be deciding between the Husquvarna SM 610 and KTM 625 SMC.

The tank, seat, and restrictive intake/exhaust systems on the SMC are issues that everyone seems to mention about the KTM. Those modifications will probably add about $1500 to the purchase price of the bike for me as I would want to get it all done soon after purchase. Did any of you consider the Husky before you bought?

With respect to the seat on the SMC, here is what I think I would do:
