Oil seal on 04 KTM Senior Pro

Hey we bought my son a KTM 2004 Senr. Pro when my husband took apart the kick start bc it was leaking clutch fluid he doscovered there was no stop washer or oil seal so he purchased these but now he can´t get it on far enough to put the spring clip on! Help!!
