I have put a new set of stainless valves in our 2005 CRF. I believe that the time to change them is at the point when they start to stretch, due to the impact stresses impared upon the valves during their working life. If you set up the clearences correctly, they should stay at that for over 20 hrs without a reduction of gap from new. The gaps are .011\\
