MC Enterprise front guards (MC #1400-110) don´t work. I tried them on my 2010 Concours 14. Rear guards (MC #1400-300) work, but remember Concours frames are not strong like a cruiser. ”Any” speed at all will tear both guards up. While practicing counterweight u-turns (speed very slow - 1 mph) bike fell and front guard hit the ground. The front guard pivoted and punched a hole into bottom black plastic cowling. The guard mounting bolt had stripped threads on mounting bracket. Guard was not bent back – it just pivoted into plastic cowling. I had to re-threaded engine mounting bracket and install larger diameter bolt and new lower cowling. The rear guard did protect bags, it’s in fine condition, and is still on bike. Removed front guards and installed Twisted Throttle GSG-Moto frame sliders (actually I think the slider will provide better feet and leg protection). MC Enterprises does not stand behind product. I called in complaint and boxed up front guards and returned to MC with letter and pictures – even paid to track shipping. After receiving guards MC never called me. I called MC about the returned guards and gal said I never sent letter or pictures. But box with guards, enclosed letter and pictures were address attention of this gal. I´m sure she does not ride and was pretty clueless about bikes. MC needs to attach bottom of front guard to bike to prevent lever arm affect from stripping engine mount threads. They should attach front guard bottom where the GSG-Moto frame slider is installed and it might be a decent unit. I have had several bikes with engine guards and they all worked – except MC #1400-110. 05-19-10
