Constant flat battery and power problems

I have owned my 1992 ZZR600 for about 18months now. Since I bought it if I dont ride it for 10 days I face a dead battery. I have taken it in 3 times to get this fixed where they all say there is some type of drain on the battery but no one can seam to find it. It has no alarm or modifications. Also a few times when I have been out for a few hours riding it will start to lose power and if I stop at a light i have to keep it reving at about 8000 or it will stop. Shouldt it increase in battery charge the more I ride it? What does a bike use a battery for one it is running? Anyone know if it is really the battery or something else??
