Hi,

My buddy crashed a KX125 at a remote location in the Philippines. I´m not so mechanically minded, but there was some fluid leaking from the suspension unit just in front of the rear wheel (The UNI-TRAK swingarm???).

The owner fixed some damage to the plastics and a a few scrapes himself, and initially seemed trustworthy to me, but is asking for around $US375 to ship a new replacement part for the rear suspension from Manila (quite a long and difficult journey from here).. seems quite expensive for the Philippines but I understand that parts aren´t cheap.

I´m in a difficult situation with a friend stuck in bed 24/7 with a torn knee ligament and no hospital around. Just want to say that the money isn´t an issue so much as being taken advantage of while in a vulnerable situation.

Sorry for the limited mechanical information.. but can anybody give me an idea as to whether this kind of price is reasonable? Thanks very much for any help.
