So here´s the deal. With all the torque this engine puts out I have discovered the weak link in the drive train is in the transmission. When I am in 2nd gear and push open the throttle the tranny will slip and then catch again very abruptly. I have 11,000 miles on my 2005 VN 2000. I am going to have to have the shop tear the transmission apart and probably replace the 2nd gear dog. This will be an expensive repair. I bought the bike used with 600 miles on it. I did not transfer the warranty or extend it. So I´m basically screwed.Has anybody else run into this problem?
