I have an 05 VN800 I bought new and just rolled over 40,000km. Last Friday while I was riding, the piston let go and smashed the top of my spark plug to bits and grenaded everything inside. I do my regular maintenance, oil change every 5000k and the spark plugs were just done a couple months ago. I just recently had my carbs cleaned and the idol turned down. Could this be a possible cause, they maybe weren´t in sync and possibly too much heat from overworking? Any ideas? Anyone know of a motor for sale??
