I´ve had my Vulcan for two years now. I love it. Up until May 5th of this year, I´ve only gone on day trips, about 110 miles max. That day, I rode 495 miles with some friends and loved the ride. Of course, I guess you have to take into account that I haven´t had a bike in 15 years before this one and it was a ´77 KZ1000. At one point, for a short time, we were doing 90 (mostly Harleys) and it ran and kept up just fine. Also took the curves nicely. I found it to do well on a long haul and averaged 48-49 mpg. Another thing I like about this bike is the weight. I hopped on my buddy´s Harley and just picking it up off the kick stand, it seemed to weight about 200 punds more than mine. I wondered how you get it off the ground if you happen to lay it over and you´re by yourself.
