| hey. am thinking about getting my first motorcycle. half of this is for fun reasons--the reasons you´ve always wanted a motorcylce since you were a kid. the other half is for more environmentally friendly reasons. I know the 250 gets great mileage, but i´ve still got a few questions: 1) what are the emissions levels (hydrocarbons per mile is what i think they´re measured in) of the 250? 2) what is the difference between carbon dioxide released (which is related to fuel economy) and the amount of crud released through the tail pipe caused from not burning fuel very efficiently or not having a great catalytic convertor (where does the ninja fall into this?) 3) Are the california emissions controls much different? Do they reduce emissions greatly? Do they hurt performance greatly? Can you only buy a 250 with california standards inside california? 4) what would be the best motorcycle to get if i was interested in good mileage and low emissions? sorry for the laundry list of questions. i appreciate anybody who can help out here, thanks |
