It is possible, but then it would pollute more and be illegal. And it is likely to hurt preformance because it is tuned with it in mind, and you will likely alter the fuel / air ratio. If you are looking to make it faster, first remove unnessesary weight, (like the center stand), and then consider a Muzzy exaughst and stage 1 or three jet kit and K & N air pods. Why would you want to take off the emission controls?
