my husband and i purchased our first harley this year a 883L. which we though was brillant.
After both riding sports bikes for years and having a bad accident,we had a long break but after 15 years found ourselves looking at bikes again. We bought the 883L Sportster, thought it was brilliant slowed us right down BUT after 3 months the husband wanted something bigger!
So we loved the look of the Springer Classic and thought to hell with it, we are only here once so we went for it. i was not so keen as iam only 5ft 2" and of small frame,the salesman knew i was put off by not being able to have my full foot on the floor so he agreeded to fit a lowering kit for me.
I´ve never looked back, we love the bike we have just come back from a touring holiday of Germany and done 2,000 miles and were planning our next holiday it was nothing like i experience on the sports bikes. we just need to fit a different exhaust system to make it sound like a proper Harley.Love it to bits.
