I am surprised , given how long the Savage/ /s40 has been on the market at how few head to head comparisons there are with other bikes. Looking at it objectively, on a power and torque to weight basis , it seems to me that it out muscles a whole lot of mid-displaecement bikes including the Honda Shadow and, I supect even the Sportster (I know a Shadow out runs a Sportster in a straight drag, the the power/ weight and torque/weight of the S 40 is considerably better than both. So why is it so overlooked? Nigel
