I´ve rode my 2008 S83 for over a year and 14,000 miles. I rode the tail of the dragon last fall, and rode it fairly aggressively and never scrapped a foot peg. However, I have been scrapping it a lot lately. A few weeks ago with my wife on board I was making a u-turn, like I had done hundreds of times before, but this time the foot-peg scrapped the asphalt hard and dug in; we went down. The windshield took the most damage, along with the foot peg and my wife and walked away with a little road rash. I´m wondering if the rear springs have weakened and this causes the bike to set lower when I carry a passenger.
