I recently learned a very inexpensive way to get a harley sound out of a c90. i cut the header pipes just before they turned into the catylic converter, removed it, bent a couple of pieces of 1 3/4 inch pipes and bought a set of mufflers for 25.00 at a salvege off a c50 boulevard. i cut the ends off the pipes with a chop saw just above the weld. the whole baffel will slide out. they have 3 diffusers it them. i cut the baffel where there would only be 1 diffuser and made the hole in it bigger. then put the about 6 inches of the baffel back in the muffler, drilled a hole it the bottom through the muffler and baffel to secure it. it sounds hard but it took me about 3 hours to do it. i had to make some brackets and stop up 1 tube on 1 muffler and use clamps and modify the heat shields, but a great sounding and good looking exhaust for 25 bucks is a lot better than 5 or 6 hundred. marlin
