Have just purchased a 1979 KZ1000, imported from the states to U.K.
My problem is a strong smell of petrol after it has been run, I have investigated and it seems to come from the air filter. Believe this means that the reed valves in the exhaust system auxillary air intake system are not working.
What are my alternatives :- Run bike as it is - will it cause any damage. Is there a better after market kit made to replace this system. Take the system off will it cause any damage - any advise would be appreciated - Regards Pete
