2004 KTM 450 MXC Cooling system questions.

Has anyone experienced any kind of problems with the cooling system on a 2004 KTM 450 MXC. Mine is California street legal with a Baja Designs kit. I have heard that if you idle too long problems can occur. I have an aftermarket big tank and a cooling fan won´t fit.Any info is helpful.
