Hi Lance I think I will try the conventional side drain bolt first for the first oil change....Since it has many threads, there is no problem of over tightning for fear of leakage and rear wheel slipping. My past experiences with shallow threads had me doing a by-pass oil change...Elevate the bike on a stand or sidewalk, and drain through the oil fill hole...a very long process unless you have a large syphon tube.. So now we have 3 ways a draining the oil.... It´s probably a good idea to heat the oil before putting it in, if you are using a screened funnel like I do, otherwise it takes about an hour... ThanX again |
