I agree and I took the little back bumper off. Just open the seat then take a screwdriver head with the star or rectangular fitting and take the bolts off and then there are four bolts to remove and pull it off. I put new bolts with stainless washers to the exterior and nuts to the interior to cover the now exposed seat fabric and keep water out. The washers are 1.5" diameter stainless that I painted black to mesh with the seat color. It actually gave me about another inch of leg room to the front foot position and at 6´4" it made it much more comfortable. Passengers can still ride. I´m 62 years old and started riding earlier this year...love it.
