I´d say after 1800 miles that I end up looking in the mirrors when I stop to be sure some car isn´t going to whack me because my Majesty stops so well with the two disk brakes it comes with. The bigger bikes do have some abs benefit but the traditional automotive use of abs is when roads are slick and four tires are involved. They come on and off in a series of rapid iterations which releases just enough to keep from locking the wheel (skidding) and losing traction. The percentage of brake capiper surface area to mass on the Majesty is much higher than a four wheeled vehicle and much more efficient even without it. Would it be acceptable with it...sure. Is it necessary to ride safely...doesn´t seem like it. A million bikes of all stripes are being sold a year in the U.S. and there are lots more out there without abs....all of which work.

Again, if you´re more comfortable with it then buy a bike with it but riding sensibly the physics of the majesty seem not to really need it in my opinion.

A Honda Gold Wing with it´s enormous weight I would probably say the opposite but right now I can stop faster than the cars which presents more of a risk than other issues with the brakes.
