Just bought one last month.
Take off the restrictor plate.
I now get 40mph on even surface or slightly downhill and greater than 40mph going down a steeper incline. Up the same incline, (a mountainside in NM ), I can only go 35mph though---But then again I weigh 230lbs.
My gas mileage after 400-500miles is at about 70mpg.
