Having a passenger on a 50cc scooter might be a little hard on the engine, but it can be done because these scooters have a belt variator which will give them pretty good power. But I would not recommend doing it to often or with to big of a passenger because the engines were not designed to carry that much weight, but to have fun and drive around town. You will also only be able to go around 25-35 mph with this weight. I have a small 36cc 2 stroke scooter and I have carried a passenger who weighed about 170 pounds and I weighed about 150 pounds. It was pretty hard on the motor but we could go around 24 mph.
