PW 50 for my 2 1/2 year old? Am I crazy. My wife says I am...maybe you can help???

I am looking for a Power Wheels Kawasaki Super Shock battery operated Dirt Bike for my son for Christmas. He loves his cousin´s, but they are now discontinued. I am in a bad spot. My thinking is maybe I could de-tune a PW 50 and throw some training wheels on it. Then he will have a bike now and be set up for future rides with Daddy. Can anyone help?
