I didn´t add a winshield, my Virago came with one. It attaches to the handlebars. Clamps secure to handle bars using allen wrench, then thumb screws secure windscreen. Search engines on the computer are a wonderful way to check out your options. I believe slipstream makes a molded clear plastic windscreen molded to basically be a fairing and windshield. I believe it mounted to the handle bars and might be what you are looking for.
