Hey Jimmy finally found someone with the same problem my friend has blown 5 final drives averages about 6000miles she put out for 2 and Yamaha has put out for 2 and the bike is in the shop again don´t know what they are going to do this time but she doesn´t want the bike anymore it´s unsafe and has cost her a mint the couple of times she had to shell out for her bike and it is an 05. I don´t know what it could be possibly the bike is over loaded and on long hauls over heats and blows the rear end if that is the case Yamaha should come clean with that and take care of the problem either fix it properly or replace the final drive with a belt pulley outfit like they have on their larger bikes. I´ll let you know what happens on this end let me know what happens on your end tonyraposo_2000@yahoo.com
