Have any of you done a exhaust modification on you 650 V star. I took the rear baffles out of mine and it sounds great. I left the inner pipe in the exhaust. This was my idea, so I could install a large auto body washer in the end to baffle the exhaust if I wanted. The washer works great and sounds stock when installed. When I remove them my exhaust are loud and it sounds like my brothers 88 cu in fat boy. I did this on my 81 Harley E- Glide when it was new and thought I would try it on my little scooter as well. I was told removing the end baffles on the V Star wouldn´t lean the engine out. I didn´t rejeted the carbs. I do keep an eye out on the color of my spark plugs they seem to be ok. If I change the exhaust or do any more modifications I´m going to rejet to be safe.
