My solution was to bite the bullet and purchase aftermarket pipes/baffles (Shogun War Lords). Since the pipes must be removed to change the oil at 600 miles the stock pipes were removed and the Warloards installed. Also requires a re-jet of the carbs. I also lowered the scooter 1 1/2" and added a backrest.
