Well, Rick, I´ve owned both water and air-only cooled bikes. The V-Star 1100 Classic has performed well for me here in Texas. There´s only one thing I don´t participate in: Parades. Our bike group takes part in various city parades, and that involves an extensive amount of idling and very low speeds. Only if it´s very cold will I join in on the Christmas parade. Otherwise, I´ve treated both bikes pretty much the same way.
