I am also looking at the 650 V-Strom. I just returned from one of Ayres Adventures´ trips across South America. My wife and I rode on an F650GS for 3000 miles and found the F650GS to be acceptable as a touring bike. I would like a little more power, ABS, and the DL650 looks to be a good match. I have owned 18 bikes over the last 35 years (American, Japanese, Italian, German and British.) I am looking for something comfortable for two up riding to the grocery store or across the US. Any thoughts?
