650 vs. 1000: I test drove both and found the 650 to be clearly preferable. It is smooth, powerfull, comfortable. I am 6" 2" and 235 lbs. Let´s face it, I am an amateur weekend rider who will never realize anywhere near the true potential of this high performance machine - a 1000 would be even more so. Plus the first year´s cost for a 650 is about $ 3000 (US $) less !!! Even at the same price, I prefer the 650. As a cruiser riding friend (on a 1500 twin) said after riding my bike - Wow that´s like a Porsche !! |
