I just bought a 05 Savage and thought I needed to change out the seat at first but after 2200 miles, it has broken in and is very comfortable now. I also put a memphis fats 17" windshield on my bike after getting jerked around for the stock windshield from Suzuki for 5 weeks - every week they told me it´ll be in on Friday... the fats is larger than the other and keeps you more protected in the N.E. climate and at night. I can see over the windshield and still get the wind in your face feeling with a half helmet and my chopper sunglasses are much more comfortable to wear. The windshield is awesome on the highway too. I´m also into the tourmaster cruiser II saddlebags which hold more than Suzuki´s bags but they have to be thrown over the passenger seat as the electrical wires interfere with going under the seat. I love my Savage but am already wondering if I should´ve gotten the next size up... the S50, V-twin 800 for better highway riding. The S40 (LS650) is a great "first" bike for a small rider (5´2" - 115#) like me.
