My front tire has a little wear on it but I have bridgestone excedra tires on it. Slight cupping on the edges. But my bike is also handling poorly, see my posting; as far as the backfiring I get none of that unless the engine is cold. Occasionally on a downshift but I also have Hard krome straight pipes on it.
