Hello boys. Looking for cheap upgrades to your crf150? Lets start with suspension. It´s not bad all around but for any jumps over 2ft, you´ll probably notice it´s a bit to soft. I weigh about 150lbs. I installed about 1 1/4" stack of washers in the front forks. This helped big time. My bikes front end immediately sat way higher than the rear. I than adjusted the preload on the rear shock to bring up the seat height. I adjusted it max and it still wasn´t enough. I ended up removing the whole rear shock assy and adding a custom spacer a buddy made. you guys can get creative to find a spacer or use washers. the spacer was about 3/8" thick and it was too much. I set the preload almost to the minimum setting and got it right. The bike saqt 1" higher in height and felt like a million bucks. It felt a bit stiffer but not much. I took it for a test drive and nearly wound up on my rear. I was so used to gassing the bike in second and not having to worry much about a wheely. With the newly modded suspension, I guess the rear didn´t sag as much as I gassed it and I ended up doing a wheely up this little hill and surprised myself. The suspension can get harsh on the rebound but a bit of practice and you can brace yourself before it happens. I used to get stuck going up this sand hill and I noticed with the suspension that I still got stuck but I got alot higher up than before. I also removed the exhaust baffle. I didn´t noticed any power gains but the bike has more bark. my next mod is to jet the carb and add a filter. Apparently this helps big time as the bikes carb runs the engine very lean. I still don´t know where to get this power up kit. Honda hasn´t even heard of it. I´ll find it, install it and get back at you guys. L8R
