I have an 02 xr 250 with a FMF Q pipe, uni air filter, snorkel removed on the airbox. The motor revs slightly slower with FMF than stock with stock muffler baffle removed, but more top end power. Far more power than stock with baffle in. Sound, FMF is slightly louder than stock with baffle installed, much quiter than stock with baffle removed. Overall better performance with less sound. Jetting is slightly lean during warmer months, and a little rich during the maine winter riding season (studded tires, awesome riding). Stock jetting is acceptable with no hiccups or bogging. The free flowing exhaust lets engine run cooler. At high elevation bike does not get as hot as it used to. |
