I´ve had to do a lot to mine - including welding up broken front forks & having a new exhaust built for it, there being none available that would fit well. I also fitted a ported & flowed cylinder head & a 670 camshaft. The downside really lies in the non-adjustable suspension, and of course the joys of leaky fork seals on upside-downers. It´s fun to ride, not as fast as I would like, but all the better (surprisingly) off-road, where the huge amount of torque available comes into play. It may need rejetting ; a new 36mm carb is next when I can get the time. I don´t know how fast it is, as my speedo drive has eaten itself, and I am unable to ascertain whether a pegaso 650 item will fit. any advice? The only other thing I have considered is ditching the bodywork & having just a headlight/windscreen unit so I can fit a larger tank; 11.5 liters doesn´t give it much range. any other enthusiasts out there? Hagar. |
