I am looking to upgrade from my Yamaha Vino 125. There are three scooters in the running 1] Yamaha Majesty 2] Piaggio X9 evolution 500 and the Kymco Xciting 500. The very limited dealership network in NW Washington stategives me problems with the Piaggio, although it appears to be of very high quality. The Yamaha would be the safe choice. However, the Kymco is very attractive. Although there is no price yet, I expect it to be competitive with the others. My real question is: What is the level of quality for this make. I know nothing of it. There is a dealer in my area [good], but reliability is VERY important to me. My Yamaha has been very reliable. Where is the Kymco ion the initial quality, and long term quality and reliability scale? Who builds the engine for the Kymco 500?, Transmission? will parts be a problem? DSW |
