| To date I have now only got 2500 miles on mine, the first service at 500 miles cost me about £50 that was mainly for sinthetic oil. As far as I can see the costs for servicing are not that much different from what I was paying for a GSXR600, the only difference is the service intervals, the Daytona600 is 4,000 to 6,000 miles or ever year whereas the GSXR was every 3,000. I was a bit **** when I reda about the Daytona650 but the extra your getting in BHP and TORQUE doesn´t appear to be that great, I think from memory your only gaing about 5 BHP and lets face it unless your racing I don´t think your gonna notice. I am still chuffed with mine and now have very little un-used rubber on the OEM Pirelli Diablo, I think I have about 5 mm left on the outside and the front, well it just keeps on gripping. The bike itself is outstanding and if your saw the last round of the BSB and watched Graig Jones on the Daytona you would have seen how bloody awesome the bike is even against the Jap bikes which have the edge on the extra BHP, so maybe with the 650 we might see Jones getting a few more podium positions. Well I have really waffled on...I hope this answers some of your questions. |
