Higher octane does NOT burn faster! It´s just the opposite, burning slower and is why you need higher octane with higher compression. Running higher octane will NOT give you more HP and you won´t feel any difference other than the extra dent in your wallet. Don´t waste your money on higher octane when you don´t need too. 87-91 octane is all that is needed in the F4i. Mechanic or not, your info on fuel is wrong minus the pinging which is true if you NEED higher octane due to a supercharger, turbo, or higher compression heads. So your 50/50 correct jetpowere.
